Blur by nature -

1999 to 2001

Laroche

Lake Massawippi, Eastern Township, Quebec

This devastated site was in search of its identity. To bring back biodiversity and create an appropriate setting for the log house, the addition of a water feature became the pivot of this project. Built on two levels to blend in with the landform, the pond is divided by a dam of wooden logs creating a link with the buildings material. The wooden footbridge that runs along the pond actually delimits the natural conservation fringe of the existing brook. The tree that grow through the platform expresses the perfect symbiosis that now reigns between the site and the surrounding nature.
